iFetch Interactive Ball Launcher Review (2026)

iFetch Mini launches mini tennis balls up to 10 feet (original) or 30 feet (Too). Dogs learn to drop balls in the top to trigger launches. It's the most practical solution for high-energy fetch dogs whose owners have sore throwing arms.

Training Timeline

Week 1: drop balls in the top yourself while dog watches. Week 2: hand dog a ball near the launcher and reward when they approach the opening. Week 3: most dogs are self-loading. Some dogs skip ahead, some never fully self-load.

iFetch Mini vs. iFetch Too

Mini launches to 10 feet — indoor only. iFetch Too launches to 10, 25, or 40 feet — indoor or outdoor. For apartments or small yards, Mini. For yards or parks, Too. Both use the same mini tennis balls.

Quick verdict

What we love
  • Teaches dogs to play fetch independently
  • Distance settings for indoor and outdoor use
  • Rechargeable battery for cordless use
Heads up
  • Training takes 1-3 weeks for most dogs
  • Mini balls only — incompatible with standard tennis balls
  • Some dogs never learn to self-load
✓ Buy it if…

High-energy fetch dogs whose owners want hands-free exercise time — works indoors and out.

✕ Skip it if…

Dogs who won't self-load — some never figure out the ball-drop mechanism.

Tucker's bottom line

Works exactly as advertised for about 70% of dogs. The training investment is worth it for high-energy breeds.
