The Five Mechanisms

Cone spin (rotate to expose), slide block, flip board, pull tab, and roll cylinder. Each mechanism requires different problem-solving — meaning dogs can't apply one strategy to solve the whole board. It's the variety that makes this Level 3.

Cheat Prevention

Some dogs learn to tip the board and catch falling treats rather than solving puzzles. Use a non-slip mat underneath and start on carpet to prevent this. Once puzzle-solving is reinforced, most dogs stop looking for shortcuts.
